The desire for innovation has allowed ORIS to leave many inventions in the annals of watchmaking. This year, the Swiss independent watchmaking brand launched a new replica watches that can operate the Universal Time by turning the bezel – the Big Crown Pilot’s World Time Watch.
The Oris 690 World Time movement was first born in 1997. Previously equipped with 690 movement, the world time watch had the function of quickly adjusting the local time. By pressing the buttons on both sides of the case, the central hour hand representing the local time can be quickly dialed forward or backward in units of one hour; at the same time, on the right side of the dial is a 12-hour home time dial with day and night indicators. The most ingenious thing is that the local time is adjusted backward, and when it passes midnight, the calendar will automatically go back one step. The 690 can be regarded as one of the most convenient world time watches in Swiss mechanical timepieces. It is a representative of Oris’ creative ingenuity.
This year, Oris watchmakers have prepared a special 20th anniversary birthday gift for this creative movement-a large pilot case with a large crown and a universal time dial structure. The new watch cancels the buttons on both sides of the case. The wearer only needs to turn the bezel clockwise or counterclockwise to realize the forward and backward operations of the central hour hand.
Oris chose the brand’s iconic Big Crown Pilot’s Watch as the new coat of the 690 World Time. The important reason is that the engine-turbine bezel of the Pilot’s Watch is very suitable for rotating operation.
In addition to the movement function, Oris’s creativity is also reflected in the buckle. The belt and fabric strap of the Big Crown Pilot’s World Time Watch are equipped with Oris’ patented seat belt buckle. The stainless steel buckle imitates the structure of an airplane seat belt, which is convenient to operate and should not be taken off. In addition, it also has the function of adjusting the length of the strap without card degree.
The Big Crown Pilot’s World Time Watch comes in two versions: one is a smoky gray dial with a polished bezel, which is biased towards business travel style; the other is a black dial with a matte bezel, which is more rugged aviation temperament.
“This is another memorable moment in Oris’ history.” Oris Global President Ulrich W. Herzog once witnessed the release of the original 690 World Time in 1997. He said: “On the 20th anniversary of the birth of 690, We are very happy to welcome this creative and extraordinary fake watches, which is very attractive to international business travelers and pilots. Thank you very much for the support of aviation professionals and friends who love aviation. I am very happy to tailor it for you. Watch.”
